Can I cancel or reschedule my cleaning?

Yes, of course! The simplest way to reschedule would be through your Merit Maids customer platform.

However youd like to reschedule, our team members will work with your schedule. Don’t forget that you need to reschedule/cancel 48 hours in advance to not accrue a $50 late-cancellation fee.

Can I automate scheduling?

Yes, there is an option to automate your scheduling when you use Airbnb. If you use a different platform like, VRBO, then you can either call us to book a cleaning or book online.

What happens if a guest complains?

Our team adheres to a comprehensive checklist and performs a final inspection after each cleaning. However, there may be rare occasions where a small detail is unintentionally missed. If you notify us within 24 hours, we will arrange for a follow-up visit to resolve the issue promptly. We know how crucial reviews are for your rental and the significant impact cleanliness has on your property’s rating. That’s why we take full accountability for any missed areas and make it a priority to address concerns swiftly during business hours.

Guests must report within 24 hours of their arrival. It is difficult to confirm whether the items were missed from the cleaning or have become dirty during the guest’s stay. Any reports past this timeframe that requires our team to return will be charged ½ of the cleaning fee to fix.

What if a guest books last-minute?

We will do our best to accommodate any last minute bookings. However, we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to schedule any cleanings that are booked within 48 hours of the guest’s check-in time.

Can you accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs?

Yes, if we have the opening in our schedule or there is enough time to thoroughly clean your vacation rental. Since the stay and the condition the guests leave the property vary drastically we typically require the full turnover window between check-in and check-out.

This is to ensure that your next guest arrives to a clean rental and leaves you a 5-star review.

How do you handle linens?

If your linens and towels fit into one load then we will complete them on-site. For emergencies, we do recommend having 2 sets of linens.

If your linens do not fit into one cycle, then we will not be able to complete your linens and recommend partnering with a local linen service.
